In the forest of Hakone, where you can hear the whispers of the trees, people meet each other, create an important space with an important person, and that feeling eventually weaves a "bond" (縁-'en'). Amid a mountain of silence far from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can experience the exceptional comfort that "MADOKANOMORI" creates.
ROOMS- We have 20 guest rooms along the tatami matted corridor with a pleasant wooden smell inside the building. In addition, all guest rooms offer a private open-air bath, and you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Hakone from the bath in the room.
Suite Room
The "Japanese suite room," equipped with a spacious bedroom and a modest yet impressive dining room, is a relaxing room that emphasizes elegance from the furnishings to the interior. You can choose meals delivered to your room and enjoy them in this dining room. Enjoy the purely healing moment.

It is the 2nd floor corner room with a bedroom, dining room, and a spacious 14-mat tatami room, which is the largest guest room in "MADOKANOMORI". Open-air bath has been nestled on the mountain side (Myojingatake and Myojogatake direction) which has nice views.

It is the 2nd floor corner room and has the exceptionally comfortable space of 66㎡. This guest room is blessed with a great view, as you can see up close from the open-air bath the character "dai" (大-great, large) of Daimonji-yaki (giant bonfires arranged in the form of the character during the Hakone Gora Summer Festival), which is a symbol of the Hakone Mountains,

It is the 2nd floor corner room with the space of 60㎡. It consists of a bedroom, a dining room, and an 8-mat tatami room. The view is widely open to the valley side (Sengokuhara direction), so you can enjoy the seasonal mood in this guest room.
Deluxe Room
Among all 20 rooms of "MADOKANOMORI", there are 7 deluxe rooms. Each room has more than 50㎡ space and 3 of them offer dining rooms. Moreover, meals are available for room service. Have a relaxing moment in each of the various guest rooms with their unique tastes and features.

It is located on the south side of the 2nd floor and the space is 53㎡. This guest room consists of a bedroom and an 8-mat tatami room. You can enjoy meals at the restaurant. The wooden deck with an open-air bath is exceptionally spacious, so you can enjoy taking a bath leisurely.

It is a guest room on the 2nd floor facing the valley side (Sengokuhara direction). The room offers a living room and a sofa in addition to a bedroom. The space that harmonizes the Japanese-style relaxation and the Western-style comfort will surely satisfy even the customers with rich sensitivity.

Located on the 3rd floor, the room has a space of 59㎡, which is comparable with that of a suite room. As the room offers a dining room in addition to a bedroom and an 8-mat tatami room, you can order meals for room service. Relax and have a leisurely moment.
Standard Room
The 8 of all 20 guest rooms are Standard Rooms, which are basically available for two guests. (Only 1 of 8 rooms is available for 3 guests) There are two types of Standard Rooms; one is the room with 8-mat tatami in the bedroom, and the other is the studio type with a Japanese-style bed. This is a room with a refreshing impression that pursues the comfort while being functional.

Hanacyoji
This room, having a space of 41㎡, is the most spacious among the Standard-type room and can accommodate up to 3 guests. It is a room with the unique balance of closeness and openness; for example, you can see the character "dai" (大- great, large) of Daimonji-yaki (giant bonfires arranged in the form of the character during the Hakone Gora Summer Festival) from the room.
CUISINE
The seafood grown in the sea of Sagami Bay and the abundant nature of the Hakone mountains is a treasure house of ingredients. At "MADOKANOMORI," the chefs familiar with the area craft the ingredients from the mountains and the sea of Hakone into a beautiful and delicate kaiseki cuisine with their diligent handwork and knife handling. Hida beef, raised in the same local area as the trees ordered to decorate the inn, is also served. Enjoy the blissful dish unique to "MADOKANOMORI".

Seasonal Cuisine
The kaiseki cuisine of "MADOKANOMORI" incorporates Hakone's four seasons in one dish. For dinner, you can enjoy starting with the colorful appetizers made with seasonal ingredients, and other kaiseki cuisines cooked in the way suitable for the occasional ingredients, such as clear soup, sashimi, grilled dish, and steamed dish. We prepare a course meal consisting of 13 dishes, including miso soup and seasonal pickled vegetables. For breakfast, we prepare dishes unique to Hakone that combine ingredients from the mountains and the sea.

You can relax and enjoy your meal in a private room. The restaurant of "MADOKANOMORI" offers the space where one can view the scenery of Hakone through the "circle" (the motif of "MADOKANOMORI"), as well as the unique private room where one can gaze at the elaborate wall paintings. We have various restaurant spaces from the natural scenery that creates a precious time for couples to the banquet hall that can accommodate up to 40 guests.

ONSEN
"MADOKANOMORI " has two private sources of the famous hot spring in Hakone, drawn to each private open-air bath, as well as to the large public bath. Enjoy the bath tour to your heart's content; we have within our building the spacious indoor bath and the open-air bath with a full sense of openness.

Source
Among the two hot spring sources of "MADOKANOMORI", you can see one of them steaming on the way to entrance, even in the summer. The other source is in the deep forest on the premises. The natural hot spring that gushes out here is our treasure. The hot water used in the indoor bath of the large public bath is drawn from this private source. We also offer a relaxing space where you can comfortably enjoy your bath.

Forest Bathing
Pass through the tatami corridor lit by the sunlight filtering through the foliage in the daytime, and by the dreamy lights in the evening; there you find the large public bath that "MADOKANOMORI" is proud of. Unlike the private open-air bath in the guest room that gives you the feeling of overlooking Hakone through the trees from a slightly higher point of view, the forest bathing gives you the feeling as if being united with nature in the deep forest. It is a blissful moment in which you can enjoy forest bathing and bathing together, surrounded by a sense of openness and beautiful nature.
ESTHETIC
The aesthetic (beauty treatment) building "MORI" stands in the forest as if embraced by trees, a little away from the main building. As two treatment rooms are available, and each room can accommodate up to one person, couples can experience the treatments. You can have the healing time surrounded by the colors of the changing seasons.
BAR
"Kura Bar Kodama" is a social space for the evening that MADOKANOMORI is proud of, which imitates the storehouse. As you proceed through the tatami mat corridor, you will find a subtle yet profound storehouse door. Behind the door is a tatami bar counter that is dimly lit by soft and warm lighting. The storehouse bar, which allows you to forget the time or place, brightly colors the night of your trip. Relax as you have the after-bath cocktail.
